The Tower: Daily Pull-a-card

Today’s Pull-a-card seems a bit scary at first glance. This is one of the cards in tarot that no one typically wants to see. But before we light our hair on fire let’s take a look at the imagery.

The first thing that I noticed, among this chaotic image, is the black background. Black can symbolize many things like: resilience, control, refinement, evil, death and rebirth, as well as emptiness. Black can be seen as positive or negative, but most people automatically think of negative when they see it in a reading.

However, based on the energy I’m getting from the rest of the card,

this message feels kind of heavy.

We have a tower that looks like it’s set on the top of a mountain. Notice that there isn’t a way to get up the mountain nor is there an entrance into the tower that is shown. It makes one wonder how did the two people end up in the tower in the first place; there is an obvious exit, if you want to call windows an “exit”.

Lightening strikes the top of it knocking the crown off. Out of fear the two people jump out of their windows, falling head first. The crown being knocked off reminds me of a blow to the ego.

Have you be dealing with someone with a power trip? Someone who is in an authoritative position? Perhaps this person is a relative, friend or lover who has a tendency to be manipulative. Or, maybe you're the one that's in a position of power and perhaps have taken things a bit too far.

One thing is for certain; no matter who is involved

good or bad, sudden and unavoidable change is coming so be prepared.
